This t-shirt tells the story of freedom. It was made by women who were trapped in India’s sex trade and, through their work with Freeset, now have the opportunity to choose a new job and regain control of their lives. With every stitch, their sense of dignity and hope are restored.

Freeset is a fair trade business offering employment to women trapped in Kolkata's sex trade. They make quality jute bags and organic cotton t-shirts, but their mission is freedom! Their goal is to see the 10,000 sex workers in the neighborhood empowered with the choice of leaving a profession they never chose in the first place. |
